Moberly Railroad Days

On the morning of Saturday, June 11, Socket set up camp for the Moberly Railroad Days. The weather was cloudy, cool and rainy keeping many people at home. However, as the afternoon approached and the sun poked its head out from the clouds, the town of Moberly seemed to burst with excitement. Moberly looks forward to Railroad Days every year, so having nice, sunny weather on the last day of the festival seemed to mean a lot to the community. Socket was right in the heart of the excitement handing out purple balloons and inviting the little Picassos of Moberly to enter Socket's Summer Coloring Contest.

Fulton Street Fair

The weekend of June 17 was an exciting time for the community of Fulton. As vendors set up their booths on that Friday and Saturday, the people of Fulton and surrounding areas crowded the historic brick streets of downtown. Socket was more than happy to be a part of such a festive weekend and to engage with the good people of Fulton and surrounding areas. Socket continued its summer coloring contest, passed out purple balloons and gave away Socket pens to current and potential customers. After Socket embedded itself in the town of Fulton for the weekend, it became clear that Fulton is a close-knit community, and as a Mid-Missouri company, Socket was excited and proud to provide more information about the Fiber Project that will be coming to Fulton soon as a way to connect everyone in the community and bring everyone even closer.

Jefferson City Chamber Golf Tournament

Yee Haw! Socket was out at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club for the 2011 Jefferson City Chamber Golf Tournament Monday, June 20. The Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce added some excitement to the atmosphere of the tournament by asking each of the hole sponsors to come up with a fun, creative theme for their hole. Dressed up like hillbillies for Socket's hole theme, Socketeers Steve Bremer, Audrey Gardner, and Socket's event worker Paige Shelton gave koozies and pens to all the golf teams as they stopped to play a quick game of hillbilly golf. Check out this Socket Twit Pic that was posted to Socket's Twitter account @SocketInMO the day of the tournament.
